Unite all people.
We unite through Korean food, culture, and language.
How does learning Korean culture unify us?
In Korean culture, there is a special bond called “Jeong” that unites all people. This bond is about sharing and giving, and it brings people together. “Jeong” is the concept of turning “them” into “we”.
Learning about Korean culture helps us understand and appreciate different ways of thinking and living. We can learn from their culture of collectivism, which is very different from the culture of individualism here in the United States. Korea also has extensive history as a country that goes back 5 thousand years!
When we take the time to learn about other cultures, we see that we are all connected in special ways, even if we are different. We learn that our differences is what makes us unified, just like a recipe where different ingredients make the perfect meal.
